Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay – His Successes And Failures

Vijay had a star value since the time of his birth as he was born to one of the most famous film producer and director of the Tamil film industry, Chandrasekhar. He is hailed as Ilaya Thalapathi meaning Young General. He is one of the best romantic comedians of South India as most of his romantic films are successful. When his debut movie Naalaya Theerpu became a flop no one imagined that he will drive a long road to reach above fifty films in his career in a short period of time. The themes of his movies focus on women and children and they are some of the best entertainers in the industry.
Vijay is compared with Super Star Rajinikanth, however he did not like this comparison and has expressed his view that no one can replace Rajinikanth in cinema. He has many crazy fans that one of them committed suicide when he could not get ticket for the first show of one of his blockbusters. He is also involving himself in charitable works. Once he read news about a topper of a school struggling to raise money to continue her education, he traced her and comforted her that he would sponsor her studies. The joy that he saw in the eyes of that student and her parents made him think about charity in this line. Since then he is donating books and notebooks free for 50 thousand poor students on his every birthday.

When he has given some successful movies as Kushi, Piriyamanavale, Ghilli, Badri and Sivakasi, many of his films were flops such as Azhagiya Tamil Magan, Kuruvi, Sura and Villu. This second costliest hero in Tamil film industry is said to get a remuneration of nearly nine crore rupees for one film. The recent flops in 2009-2011 assert that he is the costliest flop hero also. The same and predictable nature of the storyline in film after film is the reason for his failures. When the people expect to see a change in cinema and want to have a different story with difference in acting style, he failed to capture their mind voice and was giving the same type of romantic hero subject with the same style of acting which led to the failure of his films in sequence.

Another South Indian film star Ajith is considered to be his rival. There were frequent abrasions between these two top stars. The dialogues taunting each other were spilled over in their films and the enraged fanatics of these two stars were firing each other with their words. There were also serious attacks among the enthusiasts leading to the downfall of the actor. When the fans of these two famous celebrities were attacking each other, Vijay and Ajith were embracing one another in the launch function of the film Tirupathi and yes they have always been the good friends.

Apart from acting in films Vijay is also an accomplished sportsman that he is good at various sports like basketball, football, cricket and volleyball. The smiling face in the Vijay photos and Vijay videos has made them famous among mass, the sweat of perseverance is what is behind his smile.
