Tabu - Resourcefulness At Its Very best!

Tabu was born in India in 1971 to a household who had its sources linked to education and learning. Her mother was a school teacher. Her mother's side grandparents were retired college professors and they had been managing a school. Her grandfather was a mathematics professor and her grandmother, a lecturer in English. She did most of her schooling in Hyderabad, India. Keeping in mind her background it may be believed that she might turn into a part of academics in one way or the other. Even so, Tabu selected to embrace acting as her career alternatively. She came to Mumbai in the year 1983 and studied for 2 years.


She performed a small appearance in 1980 in a movie when she was merely fifteen years old. She was then enrolled as Dev Anand’s child. This was a minor role and she didn't receive much attention for it. Her first major part arrived through the Telugu movie called Coolie no.1. She then got an important break in Bollywood with two movies being agreed upon in 1987. One particular film took almost eight years in the making but went unseen as well as the other was likewise not a commercial accomplishment, nor was it critically acclaimed. Her first commercial accomplishment arrived in the form of Vijaypath, opposite a well-known Hindi film industry actor.

In 1997 she played a small role in the film Border, a film about the battle of Longewala. She played the part of Sunny Deol’s wife. This movie was a large hit and continued to be one of the greatest grossing hits of that year. She then won the film critics award for best actress for the movie Virasat. This film was a box office achievement and did well to bring the audience to cinema halls. In the year she performed two main parts. One as the lead actress and another multi starrer which continued to be the highest grossing hits of that year.


In 2006 she did a supporting role in Fanaa, she then played the part of a thirty four year old woman who falls in love with a 64 year old man. Tabu photos and Tabu videos had grow to be quite famous amongst the youngsters following the release of the movie. The film did not do well in India, however it was a large victory overseas. She has also worked in a Hollywood film, The Namesake. She is thus looked upon as one of this most versatile actresses Indian cinema has ever observed.
